Ellson

Local Melbourne designer, Felicity Ellison of RMIT background, has launched her own label Ellson. Whilst I favour a more tailored/feminine approach to dressing, I do admire her creativity and loyalty to her own personal look with her first collection, "Take me to that place again" inspired by the inspirational NYC.

Saxony Store Opening

One of the brands I work with has launched their own store in Melbourne Central. Unfortunately, for those donut lovers out there, they took over the old Donut King spot. TRAGEDY!

However, the store oozes cool. Polished black floors match the polished black clothes. Saxony's signature is black black black and nothing in between.

Go have a look for yourself.

Here is some of my buyership at the opening:

That's no bull!

Melbourne designer, Virginia Bul Martin, has launched her own label and consequently own store in the iconic Curtin House.

The label is literally adorable. A bit of a play on Gorman and Arrabella Ramsay with a slice of edge, but not too much.

To the grand ball!

I have an invite to the VRC Young Members Ball at the Crown Palladium this weekend. I got the ticket as a 'reward' through work at the last minute. Dress Code? 1920's inspired Black Tie.

Could a dress code be any harder to decipher?!

Anywho-- these are my options below. I am going for a more classy 1920's look, given the black tie aspect thrown in! I don't love the whole flapper thing, I find it a bit tarty for want of a better word.

Vote number 1 or 2 (the green in Nina Maya and the cream Lisa Ho)

Apologetic

Apologetic: adj- Latin/Greek origin: "Offering or expressing an apology or excuse"

That I am, to have neglected my blog so much. My new job, now a year in, has kept me most under the pump. But, I am going to make an effort to keep updating from now in. I shall call it a Winters Resolution.
